Born 11 September 1980 in Mount Darwin at Mount Darwin Hospital. Attended Waverely primary
school in Kadoma then graduated to Shungu high in Kwekwe for form 1-3 before
completing “O” & “A” levels at Masvingo Christian College in Masvingo. At
Masvingo Christian College (MCC) he was a member of the drama club where he
featured in plays such as “Samari” and “seed of corruption”in which he cast as the role of Constable
Mayaya a corrupt policeman in 1999 and 2000. He was under the tutelage of David
Dzatsunga who directed him to become an accomplished actor. He was also
featured in “sounds of silence” by
Karanga arts promotions which he gained recognition from HIFA (Harare
International Festival of the Arts) by participating 3 consecutive times “2003,
2004 and 2005.” Was also featured in ZIYA’s project acting alongside David
“Vharazipi” Mubaiwa, Kumbirai “Mai John” Chikonye, Christopher “Joram” Kubvedzi
among others. Recently featured in “Sabhuku
Vharazipi 2” as constable Mayaya which was received well by the viewers. He is the main character on the latest project “Inspector
Mayaya-Seed of Corruption” with Christopher “Joram” Kubvedzi, David
Dzatsunga and others. The producers of “Sabhuku
Vharazipi 2” Magical Films are produced this corruption thriller. He is optimistic of living to witness the real “Zollywood” where more
Zimbabweans tell their stories through films with real substance. He is a
devoted Christian who during his spare time spends sometime assisting young
upcoming artists at his church.
